Our Emmy Rant and Hungry Eyes

We channeled our bitterness over the 2009 Emmy Robbery of Crystal Chappell (and really, Guiding Light as a whole) into a quickie rant. Had to get that off our chests. Although we salute the GL men for pulling in 3 Emmy nominations, we felt the women were utterly shafted. How about you guys?

It's also PaaV video snippets time again! Liz and I have been talking about the hot looks of Olivia Spencer for the last couple of weeks, which spawned this video. Really, it's a small slice of CC/Olivia's repertoire, as this sort of thing could have easily been 35 minutes.

Dirty Dancing + Olivia Spencer = win. That's all I have to say about that.

    The Emmy mess still leaves me raging lunaticky. I wanted to spit people in the face all day yesterday.

    And those hungry eyes... bloody, drippin, smeary, brilliant.

    I'm so glad you felt compelled to do this mini podcast. It's a little disturbing, but my first reaction on hearing about the Emmy noms was "this is total bullshit/ what a sham!" closely followed by, "I MUST hear what the Pancakes and a Valium girl have to say about this load of rubbish!"

    Emmy thoughts took 3 takes and over a half hour before we got a decent combo of snark without being mean. lol

    And Dani stayed up seriously all night making the video. She is freaking awesome.

    I was Crystal-eyezed by this video and I liked it. Crystal can do more with just her eyes than most actressed can do on their very best day. In my opinion Crystal gets a Lifetime emmy for her eyes alone.

    I felt sick the other day when the nominations came out. Crystal, Gina and Marcy where all deserving. And what the heck did AMC do this year to deserve 19. Its all a joke.

    And what the heck is B&B, AMC and Days doing in best show. It should be GL, OLTL and Y&R.

    I thought the emmys were supposed to be the best of the best. Clearly a joke.

    What's hilarious is how long it took me to do something so simple. Although a good deal of it was watching clips for "the stare" - which really isn't work at all.

    riot - The Hoff is coming! Promise. I can't let that sort of brilliance NOT be made into some kind of cheesy video.

    I love the video of the various sexy stares and looks Crystal does so damn well. The looks she gives not only should be registered but considered illegal in some states. Thank you for the video. I will be playing it on repeat.

    The whole thing about the Emmy nominations still boggles my mind. How on earth did AMC get 19 nominations and GL get 4? There is something seriously wrong with this picture.

    Seriously I've been watching AMC for years now. I was so frustrated with how the show was going yet they end up with 19 nominations. How on earth. I love Alicia Minshew and I don't mean to take away from her but her Character Kendall does not deserve that Emmy nom as much as Crystal did. Crystal's performance around her heart transplant story was so amazing that I don't flipping get it. I think there is something shady about the whole Emmy thing.
