Did someone ask for outtakes? No? Well, here they are anyway. This is a "mini-pod" just for fun - taken from the first version of PaaV 2.0, which we ended up scrapping. Liz is a genius, and worked her editing magic to salvage some funny from it.

- the girls were not on Tuesday of last week
- we never discussed Tuesday, but if you say anything with enough authority, Dani will believe you (ed: hey!)

ha, ha total ditto on the Xena line (had a screen drench moment with that one)and being distracted by Jessica's dimples, well, that gives you the greatest excuse on the planet, amazing that didn't yield more distraction. Now just say "there's cinnamon in this" like a few times fast on the next podcast...
ReplyDeleteOh and I guess that Jess kind of squashed my January concept, but then again, she didn't completely ixnay it all together either...the girl is too clever with her wording.
The Coopers have always been annoyingly loud. The sad part is, Justin Deas (Buzz) is one of the most talented, natural actors on daytime. Pitifully underused on GL, and always had been. He was downright great on ATWT and SB.
ReplyDeleteAnd Crystal Chappell crying really is the stuff of tearing my heartstrings to shreds. Part of it is that she makes that noise...that little noise that's almost a wimper, from the back of her throat. And there's just a little bit of quivering lip. Just enough to make it real. It's not onion-cutting crying. It's pain, and she takes you there.
Plus she's so pretty, and it's sad when beautiful people cry, because I'm shallow like that.

lawgirl - Thank you! Most of my best witticisms come from the gospel of Xena. ;)
ReplyDeleteboobookitty - I actually don't think Liz and I need any further ammunition to dissolve into giggle fits. I have used JL's dimples as an excuse for my losing track of whatever it is we were discussing, and Liz has been more than understanding. She's awesome like that.
Snappper - Both Liz and I really like Justin Deas - especially during his storylines with Crystal Chappell. Although he is the frequent target of our mocking, it really is more the writing for his character of late than Justin Deas himself. As CC would say, 6 Emmys can't be wrong.
hybridstar8 - We're so glad you enjoyed them. Liz was about to say, "Natalia immediately ascertained.." We were discussing the classroom scene where Natalia realizes her blurting in the gazebo hurt Olivia. Sometimes Liz uses big words because she's as smart as she is hot.

You're working on podcast #3, right? Right? After this week, I am suffering from serious Otalia withdrawal - I am doing my best to fight the urge to fill the terrible void with a bunch of spoilers, but I am not sure how much longer I can make it without a fix. So, no pressure or anything...
